Idea Share: Best Practices in Grants Management
More than 20 years ago, the Grants Managers Network (now PEAK) published Best Practices in Grants Management. This manual explained the importance of grants management issues to foundation staff and was designed to spare small foundations the struggle and expense of writing basic procedures at the outset or researching administrative questions on an as-needed basis. In addition, it covers all the stages of a grant cycle and includes templates. PEAK recognizes the need to update this manual given the evolution of philanthropy and grants management as well as technological advances. We invite you to stop by the Best Practices in Grants Management ideation room to offer your perspective on practices, policies, and processes that drive equity and take grants management to the next level.

Social Events
On Monday evening, we’ll celebrate our reunion at the Reginald F. Lewis Museum of African American History and Culture and take in 400 years of Black Marylander history by viewing the museum exhibits. On Tuesday evening, we invite our amazing volunteers to come together for a reception. Click here to learn more.

Career Center
To help you along your professional development journey, PEAK is pleased to offer attendees complimentary access to two types of coaching:

  • Career coaching focuses on effectively communicating your skills to land an interview or promotion, developing an online presence to showcase your skills, ensuring that current roles and responsibilities align with your desired career path, and more.
  • Personal and professional growth coaching focuses on navigating tricky situations in the workplace, leading from where you are, gaining clarity on your values, maintaining work-life balance and boundaries, and more.

The content of these coaching sessions will be kept confidential and the names of participants will not be shared beyond the PEAK team and affiliated coaches.
