Knowledge Deep Dive for Grants Professionals

Talents like knowledge, knowledge development, knowledge management, learning strategy, and learning and evaluation are increasingly showing up in the titles or job descriptions of equity-focused grants professionals. Knowledge work is, however, an evolving field. Consequently, there is a growing need for processes, tools, and, most of all, solidarity in developing values-driven knowledge work that embodies equity and engagement.

This session will provide participants a forum to share and explore how knowledge work is being practiced in the context of grants management and grantmaking. A series of individual and small group activities will provide opportunities to work hands-on with useful frameworks and tools that can be directly applied back to your work.

Take part in this unique opportunity to learn, share, and evolve as PEAK kicks off a yearlong journey to cocreate our knowledge-equity work in partnership with our members.

This workshop is limited to 50 participants. It will run from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. ET on Sunday, May 7.

Headshot of Angela K Frusciante, PhD

Guiding the session will be Angela K. Frusciante, PhD, an engaged scholar and educator with more than 25 years in the knowledge arena, who was one of the first philanthropy professionals to hold the title of knowledge development officer. She believes that the core of knowledge work is meaning-making and that shared meaning-making can energize social change and equitable practices. Frusciante is the founder of Knowledge Designs to Change, a research and strategy partner in the philanthropic sector. She is also chair of URBAN Connecticut, a regional affiliate of the Urban Research Based Action Network and founding coeditor of the upcoming Journal of Collaboration for Equitable Change.

We look forward to seeing you there!
